Lab Coat Program

Laboratory coats are an essential component of any laboratory's minimum personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. These coats serve as a vital shield, safeguarding the wearer’s skin against various hazards, including biological, radiation, physical, and chemical risks. They provide a crucial defense against spills and splashes, while certain lab coats even offer protection from fire and burn hazards.

EHS&EM has partnered with Cintas in our commitment to ensure that all laboratories have ready access to lab coats and scrubs and to uphold compliance with university safety standards. Soiled coats are picked up once a week and replaced with clean coats, guaranteeing their availability for the continued safety and well-being of lab personnel.
